15 November
During the first 5 months since the official launch hateorange web-site has been an enormous success. I received more than 2 thousand letters from people unsatisfied with Orange. Tens of thousands people accessed the web-site. Hateorange has enjoyed extensive UK and International press coverage. Positive press and development of the site forced Orange to react.
E-mail messages were circulated to Orange employees instructing them on how to react to questions about hateorange site. Orange has been trying to hide inefficiency from public rather than to introduce changes. This makes hateorange even more valuable in protecting consumer rights.
Thank you for all the support.

November
Interview with Andrei was published in leading UK E-business Magazine featuring the site, the story behind its creation and the lessons that Orange should have learned but failed to do so. The article praises the purpose of hateorange web-site - an attempt to influence billion pounds monster and force it to face the consumers. Internet is a powerful tool that helps to level out the power of the consumers in their struggle for proper level of service provided by corporations like Orange.

Full-blown article about www.hateorange.co.uk was published in Marketing Week - leading UK magazine for marketing professionals. It describes the website as a very effective solution for consumers in new media age to express their opinion and influence the service provided by the mobile giant.
Article also mentions millions of pounds that Orange has to spend in PR and advertising in order to repair the damage from the website. In my personal opinion they better spent it on the service.

September
Article about HateOrange was published in Sunday's Independent that helped to spread the news about this effective way of expressing disappointments and expose poor Orange level of service.
This mention resulted in many people accessing web-site and sending letters about their experience with Orange

Orange's attitude to staff -> Staff's attitude to work -> Sacking…

'Mobile phone network operator Orange admits Friday it has sacked forty members of staff for the "distribution of inappropriate material" in what is believed to be the biggest Internet sacking case in the UK.
Orange refuses to comment on whether the material is pornographic in nature but claims that all employees are made aware of its strict terms and conditions in their contracts. Experts warn that the increasing trend of sacking employees for distributing pornography or spending too much time online could be being used as an excuse to get rid of people.' ZD Net UK

30 July - Site update
After two weeks of being inactive (have been travelling) I am back and the site has just been updated. I have been receiving 10-20 letters a day both positive and negative (Orange's work?). I was impressed by the number of feedback from Orange current employees and ex-staff. Check many new letters on Hate Orange Too page.

Mid-July - BBC
The site got mentioned on BBC consumer program that described www.hateorange.co.uk as an effective way for customers to complain about poor service of Orange.

11 July - Second article in the Times said:
THREE weeks ago I wrote about a Russian travel agent operator who was so incensed at his treatment at the hands of Orange that he set up a hate website to allow other frustrated customers to vent their spleen as well. I was given the impression by Orange that it would make strenuous efforts to contact Andrei Voronine and ensure that his complaints were looked into. Alas, while Orange was making no comment yesterday, the site is still up, has expanded enormously and is beginning to attract unfortunate comments from former employees about conditions at the company's call centres. The future's not so bright . . .

10 July - Kiss FM Radio
in London told listeners about hateorange.co.uk. I received quite a lot of letters in support of the site.

9 July - Mobile News Magazine
wrote an article about hateorange.co.uk and expressed the interest to following up development of the site.

www.hateorange.co.uk was officially launched on the 15th of June. On the 20th of June the site has already had 17 thousands hits and the number of unique visitors has been continuously increasing.

On 20th June, press release was sent out to major UK newspapers, financial, new media and telecom press. We have received positive feedback and some will probably be running articles.

Full back up facilities for emergency relocation of the site have been prepared should the location of .co.uk be in jeopardy

The Times ran an article about www.hateorange.co.uk on 21 June.

Spoke to the Executive Correspondence manager who offered me compensation for telephone bills that I incurred while calling to customer service number from land line and explaining my problems. £150... Not much but better than nothing.
